Our wool felt cushions are handcrafted in the Kathmandu Valley. Inspired by nature and Nepal, they combine simple lines and bouncy shapes to bring joy and comfort to the home.

Wool felt cushions, the fruit of Nepalese craftsmanship

Like all MUSKHANE objects, our cushions highlight the age-old know-how of Nepalese craftsmen. Mastering the work of wool felt for generations, they make the cushions that make up our collections by hand in our workshops. From the carding to the felting of the wool, they shape with patience and meticulousness the envelope and the filling of each MUSKHANE cushion.

The envelope of our cushions is made of felted sheep's wool, MUSKHANE's main material, appreciated by young and old alike for its softness. For the upholstery, we use our own wool felt scraps, kapok, a natural plant fibre, or synthetic foam.

In order to use only natural and renewable materials, synthetic foam is only used for our Chakati pebble cushion. It offers a pleasant lightness for everyday use and allows it to regain its shape quickly.

A range of felted wool cushions for a warm and natural decoration

Our felt cushions have been designed to facilitate all the uses of daily life and bring comfort to the whole family. Both useful and decorative, they are available in playful shapes and in all the colours of the season, for every room in the house.

With its generous thickness, our 100% felt Chakati round cushion is a comfortable and removable chair cover. To be placed on a wooden bench in the dining room or on an office chair for more comfort, it brightens up and warms up the decoration.

Thicker, our Smarties cushion, in reference to the famous round candy, offers greater comfort thanks to its kapok filling. To decorate the sofa or the bed, to sit on a stool or a bench in the kitchen, its generous shape and its contrasting stitching will seduce all the members of the family.

For the living room, the bedroom or the entrance, to accessorise a bench, an armchair or the family sofa, a wool felt cushion enhances your interior decoration with a cocooning touch. Young and old alike will appreciate the comfort and softness of a felted wool cushion to relax and rest your head while reading.

Caring for a MUSKHANE felt cushion

Our decorative cushions and seat cushions are neither removable nor machine washable. However, sheep's wool felt is an easy to live with and easy to care for material, particularly suitable for everyday family life. Naturally anti-allergic and dust mite resistant, it can be vacuumed or brushed when you feel it is necessary. If you notice a stain, rub the surface with a damp sponge and Marseille soap.
