Artisanal wool felt lampshades from Nepal

In Kathmandu, Nepal, where our felting artisans shape each of our felt lampshades with infinite patience. Under their fairy fingers, the carded and washed sheep wool transforms into felt through a principle of repeated friction, done by hand or foot. A precise and meticulous work that adds soul to MUSKHANE's children's luminaires.

With exceptional properties, wool felt adorns all models in our range of felted lights. This material, both noble, hypoallergenic, natural, and renewable, blends seamlessly into a child's room decor!

Decorating a kids' room with a wool felt light

Imagining the coziest of nests is precisely what we seek when furnishing our children's rooms. The lighting should be soft enough to soothe them at bedtime, yet bright enough to see clearly for play as daylight fades in winter. By choosing a felted wool lampshade, you ensure bringing warm and pleasant light into a baby or child's room.

All MUSKHANE lampshades come in soft, organic shapes. The felt suspensions, many of which bear the names of lovely shelters (Yurt, Dome, or Tipi), will thus be welcoming bright shelters under which to sleep soundly. The smaller felt lampshades (Igloo ou Tipi S) are perfect for creating a bedside lamp or hanging lamp next to a changing table.
