Wool felt pastilles, handmade in Nepal

Our felt pastilles are handmade by our Nepalese artisans in the Kathmandu valley. Like all MUSKHANE decorative items and accessories, they are made of hand-felted sheep's wool, enhanced by a meticulous traditional know-how. The felting of the wool allows the fibres to intertwine durably and to obtain a natural and dense non-woven textile with multiple properties. Each pastille is then shaped in the material, making it unique and authentic.

A handmade natural fibre placemat to decorate the table

MUSKHANE felted wool table mats have been designed by our team to meet the needs of everyday life, in all simplicity. A MUSKHANE pastille can be used as a placemat to warm up the atmosphere in the dining room. Placed under the plates, it protects the table and adds a warm and authentic touch. Plain or two-tone, this handmade placemat brings a soft, felted touch to the table decoration. Less common than the round placemat, the pebble placemat seduces with its organic shape and irregular contours.

Thanks to the insulating properties of wool felt, a MUSKHANE pad can be used as a trivet to protect the table or worktop from the heat of a cast iron pan or casserole dish. On a tablecloth or directly on the table, it is practical, useful and particularly aesthetic.

Our pads are available in various sizes and colours. The smallest models are ideal for use as coasters on a dining room table during meals, but also on the living room table during an evening with friends. Thanks to their thickness and density, they prevent scratches and liquid stains on various surfaces.

Appreciated by young and old alike, they are water resistant and can be cleaned by hand with water and Marseille soap in case of a stain. If a liquid is spilled, simply remove the excess with kitchen paper.
